WCDC VOTER LETTER

Dear

Greetings! I’m a member of the Westchester County Democratic Committee and your neighbor here in [Town/CITY/Village]. I am writing because we have important local elections coming up on November 2nd, 2021. We will have the opportunity to cast our vote for County and in some places, municipal representatives, whose work has a very real and direct impact on our daily lives.

Our Westchester County Executive George Latimer, County Clerk Tim Idoni, and the Democrats on the County Board of Legislators consistently deliver on Democratic values. Throughout this past year of Covid 19, their record has been exemplary. As we emerge from the pandemic, it will be more important than ever to continue building upon a proven record of:

  • Protecting taxpayers by continuing to lower property taxes and ensuring smart spending
  • Leading a pandemic recovery that benefits every Westchester resident
  • Investing in infrastructure, housing, and our children’s future

A great deal of attention and media is focused on national elections, especially the highly consequential 2020 presidential election. Local candidates receive less press. Our Democratic candidates are our neighbors who run because they have a commitment to good government and delivering services to their constituents.

This brings me back to why I’m writing to you today. I am asking that you make a commitment now to vote this fall. Historically, and recently, many local elections have been decided by very slim margins—sometimes they come down to just a handful of votes! Your vote can really make a difference in your community. Take the opportunity to learn about the candidates.

Recent changes in New York voting laws mean that in addition to Election Day – Tuesday November 2 – there will be 9 days of Early Voting, from October 23 through October 31, 2021. Stay tuned for information on days, times, and voting locations for Early Voting.

Your vote is your voice, please use it this fall. When Democrats vote, Democrats win.

Your neighbor,
