Veteran public servant Tim Idoni, the New Rochelle Democrat who has served four terms as Westchester County clerk, will go for a fifth in 2021.
He’ll do so in the high-tech office that handles the county’s land and legal records, with 42% fewer workers than he inherited when he took control of the clerk’s office in 2006. His 2021 budget proposal called of the elimination of three jobs, which would lower the clerk’s payroll to 64 positions.
There were 110 jobs there 14 years ago.
