STATEMENT FROM NYS DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIRMAN JAY S. JACOBS ON RESIGNATION OF LT. GOVERNOR BRIAN BENJAMIN 

NEW YORK, NY: New York State Democratic Party Chairman Jay S. Jacobs issued the following statement: 

“I want to commend Brian Benjamin for his decision to resign from the office of Lieutenant Governor.  In the short time that he had the privilege of serving, he did a lot of good for the people of our State.  My thoughts are with him and his family as he addresses the serious charges that he must now confront.  

“As a Party, we must continue to focus on Governor Hochul’s accomplishments which have done so much for the people of our State.”
