NYDLC Forum of Boards of Elections Reform
- This event has passed.
Description
June’s Primary Election brought to light conversations about Board of Elections reform here in New York City, and NYDLC is proud to bring together leading election law professionals to discuss the history of Boards of Election, how they work, and the arguments about reform!
Our panel will examine the history of Boards of Election in New York and other states, processes and legal requirements to give the audience an understanding of how Boards work, recent election issues involving Boards of Election, such as voter registration processing in NY-22 from 2020, use of third party vendors to prepare mail-in ballots, and the inadvertent counting of test ballots in the 2021 NYC Primary, and what changes should be made to improve voting processes in the future!
