Today, I urge the Westchester County Democratic Committee to join the calls of President Biden, Senators Schumer and Gillibrand, Speaker Pelosi, Majority Leader Stewart Cousins, Senator Harckham, County Executive Latimer and many other elected officials now too numerous to mention in a short message, the NYS Democratic Committee Progressive Caucus, and many NYS Democratic County Chairs in asking Governor Cuomo to quickly resign his office in light of the findings of Attorney General James of a pattern of behavior stretching from 2013 continuing through 2020 of unlawful sexual harassment and other improper conduct.
The Governor said at his press video today that he has lived in the public eye his entire adult life; he, better than most, knows that spotlight demands conduct that is above reproach. He has called for the resignation of others when their conduct did not meet standards. The business of New York must continue without distraction of personal scandal. Time’s up.
