ATTN: EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS: PLEASE NOTE THAT WEDNESDAY’S MEETING WILL BE BY ZOOM ONLY.  WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT A MEMBER TESTED COVID POSITIVE AFTER EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS ON SATURDAY EVENING.  AS OTHER MEMBERS HAD BEEN IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH OUR ILL COLLEAGUE EARLIER THAT DAY, WE WILL MEET VIRTUALLY THIS MONTH IN AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION.  THANKFULLY, OUR MEMBER IS EXPERIENCING ONLY MILD SYMPTOMS AND IS ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY.

NOTICE OF WCDC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING ON MAY 17 WHICH WILL INCLUDE AGENDA ITEM TO ENDORSE CANDIDATE FOR US SENATE 2024 – ONE SEAT The next regular meeting of the Executive Committee of the Westchester County Democratic Committee is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, 2023; the agenda will include an action item to endorse one candidate for US Senate 2024  The meeting will be in person at Democratic Headquarters, 200 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plaints NY Suite 301.  The regular monthly meeting with begin at 7:30 PM and the endorsement will be on the agenda for 8 PM (time subject to adjustment by Chair). Nominations and seconds for any candidate seeking the endorsement must be from a member of the WCDC Executive Committee. Voting will be weighted and conducted in accordance with Article IV of the By-Laws (as amended Sept. 2022).  If more than one member of the Executive Committee resides in a municipality, the members of the Executive Committee who reside in each municipality shall participate in the weighted vote allocated to that municipality, as further set forth in Art. IV of the by-laws). (Art. IV(B)(v). Twenty Members of the Executive Committee shall constitute a quorum. (Art IV. Sec. 4) Proxies are not permitted.  If a chair of a City or Town Committee is absent, the first vice chair of the City of Town may cast the vote of the City or Town chair. If a City or Town committee has co-chairs and one co-chair is absent, the co-chair present may cast the weighted vote of the absent co-chair of the City or Town.  The first vice chair shall be deemed to be the highest ranking vice chair of a particular City or Town Committee, or the named officer authorized in the City or Town committee rules to represent the Chair at the County Executive Committee, or in the absence any of the foregoing, the vice chair designated by the City or Town chair.
