Washington D.C.— Congressman Eliot L. Engel issued the following statement on the U.S. District Court ruling which froze President Trump’s latest travel ban:
“In spite of the Administration’s best efforts to repackage a bad idea, yet another judge has deemed the President’s Muslim travel ban unconstitutional. This is turning into a pattern, and it’s no secret why: the policy is blatantly discriminatory and stands completely contrary to our American principles. I applaud U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson’s ruling, but we must continue to fight this dangerous Order on all fronts.”
