IN MEMORIAM: Cleo Oliver, Fairview Area Chair (1939-2022)

Dear Greenburgh District Leaders & Activists,

It is with great sadness that I inform you that Fairview Area Chair Cleo Oliver died Friday morning.  Cleo was a longtime friend to many of us.  She served on the Greenburgh Democratic Executive Committee for decades.  She was always fighting for progressive causes, Democratic candidates, and town issues that impacted her neighborhood.

I had spoken to Cleo on Thursday. She was healthy and in good spirits. We planned to see each other on Friday.  When I called there was no answer.  Her son Mark returned my call with the news she died of cardiac arrest in her sleep.

Please join me in sending our heartfelt condolences to Mark Oliver and Cleo’s entire family.  As soon as information about a service is available, we will pass that on to everyone.
